The challenge of the event format for participants: a self-organized event with a limited number of presentations or discussions The content of the conference is created by its participants, applying the latest co-creation methods.

Systematic dialogue strategy sessions methods have been used in various countries and sectors for more than fifty years. Regional, national, international, sector or organizational strategies are formed on their basis when faced with extremely difficult conditions or tasks: wars, system collapses, mergers, economic crises, system transformations. The methods of systematic dialogue are based on the scientific discoveries of sociologists and anthropologists. (Lippit, 2006; Von Bertalannfly, 1968, Agryris, 2004; Weisbord, 2012).

Description of the event:

The exhibition features home textile products created through value-enhancing recycling methods, produced by clients of the Good Momentum Foundation work centers. Old jeans were transformed into aprons, pot holders, bags, decorative pillows, and rugs. In addition to raising awareness about environmental issues, the exhibition also has a social dimension because the production of recycled products provides jobs and creative outlets for individuals with mental disabilities in the Good Momentum Foundation work centers, who have been marginalized from society. The focus of the exhibition materials is denim fabric, as it is found in every wardrobe and is durable enough for everyday home textile production. Moreover, the environmental footprint of producing new denim fabric is significant, and creating new products from old jeans would keep the fabric in circulation for longer.

Description of the event:

The FEBA annual conference provides a framework for complex dialogues such as triple Helix dialogue (industry-academia-policy makers) and citizens – scholars dialogues. It is a place to share values, knowledge and skills and plan new research experiments and have impactful discussions, a venue where work-in-progress is enriched and fine-tuned, rather than solely presented as a ready-made artefact.

We blend three themes in this year’s conference – sustainability, social economy, and digital transformation. We look for contributions from academia, industry – established and start-up world, policy makers and citizens (civil society activists). We aim at producing new insights how we could transform the old business and organization models with the help of technological change for accelerated but still sustainable economic recovery.

25 years after its establishment we re-star the Club of Sofia as a major playmaker in the climate change domain and as a platform to bring Bulgarian multidisciplinary researchers from around the world to contribute to ESG policy, industry and academic impact.
